MUDGUARD - SCHLUMPF – ROHLOFF

1. Mudguard - Mud flap (fender) Modifications. (Last Pic unpainted)

2. Pic's also show Schlumpf drive on front. This is the "High Speed" with a 1:1 and a 2.5 : 1

3. Rohloff  shows OEM2 fixture The "Cat" has been designed for this fitting.

Features:

• No special tools

• "workbench" on top of my "recycle and rubbish bins"

• Alumininum Strip(s) is exactly same as short piece that is standard. Cost $AUD4.00 each

• $2.00 "Plant Pot"

• $5.95 can of "satin" black spray paint

• $0.05 Alloy Rivits

• $1.20 worth of "washers"

• Roughly same weight when finished

• So strong you can sit on them

Tools:

• Hacksaw

• Vice

• Screwdriver

• (Bike tools)

• Box Cutter

• Snips

CUT UP A PLANT POT....

Buy some alluminium strips, same as what came with the bike

Bend them to shape....

Rivit them on and paint them

Nice huh?

Bit of a bend here - not too difficult - we re-produced it three more times for two bikes...

Strong as... and just as light.....

Easy to paint....

A few tools.... :-)

The extra comfort is great - and  still on two years into our cycling trip... Aug 2008.

Not too ugly for the comfort gained....

Schlumpf - note the gear change button - I lost one after about 18 months or so :-) They gave a new one FREE

Rolhoff with cables in the non prefered position - no trouble in 22 months of VERY rough cycling.

We adjusted the tension after this picture....... Hope the pics help someone...
